Comparative & International Education II
Comparative and International Education II is mainly focused on education in multi-ethnic societies, internationalization, international exchange and education, and their relationship, challenges, and prospects. I have been conducting field research on ethnic education in various countries and societies, including Malaysia. Most recently, I conducted comparative research on the export of Japanese technical colleges and the learning and educational culture between Japan and other countries. However, the students I supervise are spread all over the world in terms of their fields, target educational stages, and research topics. Through seminars, in addition to studying approaches in comparative pedagogy and comparative regional research methods, students from various cultural backgrounds can work together and present their research papers at summer camps and other events.
