For Auditing Students
This system is available for those who intend to audit specific School of Education classes. Auditing students will not receive official credits for those classes. Students who wish to audit a class are required to submit the necessary documents by the deadline.
Applicants who have graduated from high school or have an equal or higher academic ability and have a desire to audit specialized subjects offered in this faculty may apply to audit classes.
The following classes are not available for auditing:
1. Compulsory Subjects
2. Lesson Style Experiment Subjects
3. Classes led by part-time lecturers
4. Courses related to the teaching profession
5. Intensive lecture courses
●Applications for the First Semester (April – September 2014)
Accepted from February 12th to February 18th (Not accepted on weekends or holidays)
●Applications for the Second Semester (October – March 2013)
Accepted from August 19th to April 23rd (Not accepted on weekends or holidays)
For Students Taking Classes for Credit
This system is available for those who intend to take specific School of Education classes for official credits. Students who wish to take classes for credit are required to submit the necessary documents by the deadline.
In order to apply to take classes for credit, applicants must having fulfilled the university’s registration requirements and may take classes for credit should the class correspond to one of the following criteria:
●Degree Acquisition
●Teaching License Acquisition
●Other reasons specially recognized by the School of Education at faculty meetings.
*In the case of taking classes for credit in order to acquire a teaching license, applicants must have attained documents verifying their academic ability and confirm which credits they require.
●Applicants may take classes offered by this faculty for credit with exception to the following:
・Required Subjects/ Experiment Subjects
・Classes led by part-time lecturers (including intensive courses)
*Exceptions apply to classes required for the teaching profession.
●Permission may be denied in the case that it is determined that granting permission may pose a hindrance on regular students (students enrolled in the faculty and graduate students).
●Classes for credit are limited to registering 5 courses and 10 credits per semester.
Please submit applications to the Kaizuka District Office Department Academic Affairs Section Student Second Official between the dates detailed below.
●Applications for taking classes for credit during the, first semester (April – September 2014) and first/second semester (October 2014 – March 2015).
・Accepted from February 12th to February 18th 2014 (Not accepted on weekends or holidays)
●Applications for taking classes for credit during the, second semester (October 2013 – March 2014)
・Accepted from August 19th to August 23rd, 2013 (Not accepted on weekends or holidays)
Applicants who are intending to take classes for credit must receive acknowledgment from the classes’ supervising faculty member before applying. After receiving such acknowledgment,s, please submit the following documents to Kaizuka District Office Department Academic Affairs Section Student Second Official.
1. Registration documents and resume (in the designated form)
2. Course application ticket (in the designated form)
3. Graduation certificate from the applicant’s most recent educational institution (completion of course) or certificate of expected graduation (completion of course) – (1)
4. Transcript of results from the applicant’s most recent educational institution– (2)
5. Supervisor’s letter or consent (person in office) – (3)
6. Examination fee (¥9,800) (New Applicant Only Fee). – (4)
*Details regarding the payment method will be given upon submission of application request.
7. Sticker with address of applicant (used to send registration documents to the applicant)
[NOTE] As a general rule, please be aware that file wrapper (patents)application documents will not be accepted by mail. Students taking classes for credit will not receive enrollment status. If the applicant intends to take classes for credit again in the following semester, the applicant is required to apply once again. In this case, (1) – (4) are not necessary.
The term of registration is limited to one academic year starting in April or October. The applicant will be capable of receiving permission to take classes for credit within the academic year.
【Semester Terms】
●First Semester: April 1st to September 30th
●Second Semester: October 1st to March 31st
The applicant will gain credits for their class based on the results of the end of term exams, mid-term exams, and reports, etc. Furthermore, transcripts of results will be issued when needing documentation to verify credit acquisition.
A teaching license (one license) can be acquired by taking teaching profession related classes available in this faculty. Furthermore, please refer to [curriculum related courses], for appropriate classes to take in each resepective faculty.
●The selection process is based on screening of by submitted documents and interviews.
●A notification of results is typically sent to the applicant by mail before the start of the semester. Results cannot be given via phone or Email and applicants are asked to refrain from inquiring). Successful applicants will also be notified regarding the registration procedures.
●Successful applicants who complete the registration procedures within designated deadline will be granted permission to be registered as students taking classes for credit. Successful applicants who decide not to register are asked to notify the Kaizuka District Office Department Academic Affairs Section Student Second Official as soon as possible.
●Registration Fee: ¥28,200 (New Applicant Only Fee)
●Tuition Fee: ¥29,600 (For one class, two credits)
●Available courses can be viewed at the Kaizuka District Office Department Academic Affairs Section Student Second Official counter.
●Changes in class date, time, or location will be posted on the Faculty Bulletin Board or bulletin board in the Liberal Arts Students Common Area. Please be careful to avoid any oversights.
●Changes made not be made after submitting the application.
●Tuition and Registration fees that have been paid will not be refunded for any reason.

How to Request an Application
1. Request at the University Counter
Applications are available at Kaizuka District Office Department Academic Affairs Section Student Second Official counter.
Only the applicant him/herself may receive an application. A third party may not receive the application in place of the applicant.
2. Request by Mail
Please send a self-addressed envelope with postage and a note requesting an application enclosed in an marked [School of Education Application Request] written in red and sent to the following address. See below for details:
●Please state clearly which documents you require (e.g. auditing students or students taking classes for credit) and your phone number. Applicants must apply themselves. Please don’t apply through a representative.
