Introduction to Faculty Staff

ITO Takamichi|Associate Professor

Educational Psychology II
From the perspective of teaching and learning psychology, my research is on what it means to be proactive and motivated when it comes to learning. Among the various problems that exist in the learning process, I am particularly interested in the meta-learning perspective of how we learn to learn.
In seminars, we use psychological approaches like surveys and experiments to deepen our understanding of topics through group discussions. People can expand their learning throughout their lives based on their interactions with a variety of other people, such as teachers, caregivers, and peers. We hope to get to the essence of “independent learning” through “learning together” with others.
