Developmental Psychology II
When and how do humans begin to understand the “heart” of others? In my laboratory, we study how infants and toddlers perceive and understand themselves and others, how self-understanding and understanding of others are related, and how their own experiences and interactions with others affect the development of our understanding. Furthermore, we are conducting research and practical activities with a view to early detection and developmental support for children with developmental difficulties. Through implementing tasks and observing the behaviors of children, I would like to elucidate how infants and toddlers view their surroundings and what kind of developmental process they go through to become adults.
