Introduction to Faculty Staff
MIYAMOTO Satoshi|Assistant Professor
Education Anthropology
In educational anthropology, my interest lies in the process of cultural inheritance, as well as the process of its creation. I have used fieldwork techniques to conduct research on the cultural practices of people who are considered social minorities. In particular, I have researched the daily creative and expressive activities of people with disabilities, and investigated what kind of lives are being created at these sites. At the intersection of welfare and art, I am involved in exploring the possibilities of diverse ways of learning and living.
