Introduction to Faculty Staff
KANEKO Shuhei｜Associate Professor
In the Counseling Group, we conduct research on the effectiveness, process, and case studies of individual psychotherapy and group approaches. In particular, I am working on research and practice based on the concept of the Humanistic Approach, which was developed around 1970. Students choose a theme from a wide range of theories and phenomena related to psychotherapy, counseling, and clinical psychology, and then proceed with their research. The basis of such research ought to be realistic and ethical. It will be successfully completed by devoting energy to the theme, which is surprisingly difficult to achieve. It is important that students first come into contact with a variety of research and learn about research methods so that they can understand their own objectives and investigations.
